Letter of Recognition
Community Disability Support Workers are essential to the lives of people with disabilities. Many of the individuals they support have significant and multiple disabilities, requiring partial to total assistance with all aspects of daily lining.
From personal care responsibilities such as cooking, cleaning and administering medications to supporting employment, community connections, and family relationships, multiple skill sets are required. Disability Support Workers perform all these tasks for their clients and more.
The City of Calgary celebrates Community Disability Service Workers Appreciation Week May 18-24, 2025 and recognizes the dedicated and hardworking employees of this essential profession.
